General Expression of Interest
Full Time / Part Time (London / San Francisco / New York / Global)
No open role that fits? If you're exceptional and care about what we're building, we want to hear from you anyway.
About the role
We do not always have a role open that matches what you do. That does not mean we do not want to hear from you.
Samphire is building brain-based medical devices for conditions that have been underserved by medicine for decades — PMDD, endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, migraine, ADHD, and cancer-related pain. We are a small team doing consequential work, and we hire slowly and deliberately. When we find the right person, we find a way.
If you are exceptional at what you do, care deeply about the problem we are solving, and think you belong here — reach out.
What we value
We do not require a specific background. People here have come from clinical practice, specialist consultancy, large medtech, early-stage startups, and academia.
What we do require: high agency. You see what needs doing and you do it. You move fast without cutting corners. You take genuine pride in the quality of your work — not just shipping, but shipping things that are good. You are the kind of person who finds the pace energising rather than exhausting.
Backgrounds we are particularly interested in, though not limited to:
- Regulatory affairs (FDA device experience, especially de novo or PMA)
- Health economics and payer strategy (US market)
- Medical communications and KOL engagement
- Clinical research and evidence generation
- Commercial and business development in medtech
What we offer
- Competitive salary benchmarked to your experience and market.
- Meaningful equity — we want you to own a piece of what we are building.
- Private health coverage and employer pension contributions.
- Generous paid time off.
- Work that matters, at the moment it starts to matter.
