How does neurostimulation work?
Both Lutea™ and Nettle™ works by delivering personalised neurostimulation, called Menstrual Neuromodulation Therapy (MNT).
They're based on more than thirty years of clinical research and work by delivering tiny, directed, electrical pulses to parts of your brain that are associated with pain perception (primary motor cortex (M1)) and mood control (dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC)).
You may have heard of MNT by its more generalised name, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). In this article, we refer to it as MNT, to keep things simple.
From many different clinical trials, we know that both Lutea™ and Nettle™ activate neuroplasticity – the brain's incredible ability to adapt and transform.
When you start using Lutea™ or Nettle™ for the first time, it's like your brain is getting a little workout. It begins to adjust to neuromodulation, which sparks regeneration and growth of new neuronal pathways in response to this novel stimulation. Many users already report a noticeable reduction in pain following this first cycle.
As you progress through subsequent cycles, the effects become even more pronounced. You might find yourself feeling more uplifted than usual, with those unpleasant cramps easing off – all thanks to the enduring work of neuroplasticity, rewiring those neural pathways with each session.
Three cycles down the line the full effects of neurostimulation start to come into play. In most users’ brains, neuroplasticity has brought the activity of the neuronal cells to balance, leaving them more in control and fully feeling themselves during the cycle.
