Scheduling sessions when you have endometriosis
Endometriosis is a chronic gynaecological condition that is characterised by the presence of the growth of cells resembling the lining of the uterus or endometrium outside the uterus during the menstrual cycle.
The condition is associated with a myriad of symptoms such as pelvic pain, painful periods (dysmenorrhea), heavy menstrual bleeding (menorrhagia), fatigue, infertility, mood disturbances and gastrointestinal symptoms such as bloating all of which significantly impairs women’s quality of life. From our experiences interacting with hundreds of women living with endometriosis, we know that these symptoms can be experienced very differently by each individual person, and for many these symptoms can define their every day experience.
The Samphire Headband is not currently indicated to treat endometriosis. However, the Samphire Headband (Nettle™ model) is indicated for managing symptoms such as menstrual pain and mood disturbances that are commonly experienced by people with endometriosis, and the Samphire Headband (Lutea™ model) is optimised for boosting your overall wellbeing throughout the cycle. Both models use identical core technology. Therefore, individuals with endometriosis who experience these symptoms may also find relief.
Remember, each individual is unique, and just like with other interventions the effectiveness in reducing your symptoms may vary. To ensure the best approach to managing your endometriosis symptoms, it's important to seek advice from healthcare professionals, such as gynaecologists, reproductive endocrinologists, and pain specialists. They can assist with providing personalised guidance and recommendations on how to include the right interventions into your treatment repertoire based on your specific health needs and circumstances.
